Help Us Create New Game Modes!

Hope you’re having a great Christmas weekend! Right now, we are hard at work adding new game modes to BlockTanks that will rotate every day of the week. We are calling this feature daily modes and they are designed with two purposes:

  • Reduce the number of concurrent game modes from five down to three, and consolidate players into less matches.
  • Keep the game fresh so players have something new to come back to every day.

We need your help figuring out what modes to add! I created a bunch of ideas based on community feedback, and I want ratings on how interesting each idea sounds.

    Why is 1v1v1v1 an option? What exactly sets it apart from standard deathmatch other than the player count?

      You’re right, it’s basically FFA with a small map and player count.

        Hi Kevin,
        Heres a suggestoin on how to make FFA better :
        1. Debug the Bug where Bots walk into bottle bomb gas
        2. Don‘t spawn so many rapids please ! (okay you can leave it be if you want)
        3. Make the maps larger
        Bonus : Please delete labyrinth. It is way to small and unfunny with 4 Players

    You should definitely add a camper game mode, for either ffa or 5v5 that’s majority roof maps.

    The game modes that I want you guys to add adventure and tag because first adventure would be really fun having bosses and teammates.And, tag is basiclly tag with a bomb and in a biiiiig big map! I hope you could add it to the game as it would be interesting and because their have not been any major updates right now this would be a good update so I would like you and your company to add it please.

    Heres an suggestion : Make a gamemode where you can build walls sentries or robots with metal. I would call this Engineer mode !

    Snowball fight ? (everyone has to press a button to make max. 5 snowballs. If a snowball hits a player, they will die)

      Dodgeball, make a map that kinda looks like a basketball court and have a boundary in the middle where players cannot cross. Only let tanks shoot 1 bullet at a time so it’s not to hectic

    Hide n Seek Infection. A map with lots of roofs, where there is one seeker who attempts to locate the hiders. The hiders are unable to shoot the seekers, but the seekers can shoot the hiders. If the hiders are found and killed, they must join the seekers and the last person remaining is the victor!

    Also the glitch where players can get stuck in walls is very annoying. If there is any way for you to remove this glitch whenever you have time, I would be very appreciative. 🙂

    You could make a battle royale type of thing, and when it’s Christmas, there will be random gifts (loot boxes with random loot) dropping around. I suggest thinking about a new weapon, maybe adding blocks and a pickaxe, ender pearls, etc… (from Minecraft and other games) It will also be cool to make a void, money generator, a shop (in-game) like Minecraft Bedwars. There are tons of cool things to think about, so good luck!!!

    Make a mode where you have to destroy a bomb in a certain amount of time

    Maybe an infection mode where if you get killed by a zombie you are on their team and always respawn

    A mode where you level up for every kill and the one with the Highest Level by the end wins and if you die you respawn with level zero
